THE CASTLE
| The Venetian castle is
reached from the road leading up to Bohali. Continue
on the cobbled road past the ice-cream sellers and the
church up the hill to the entrance. The castle is open
most days in summer and winter (although in winter the times
will be reduced). The view up there is even better
than the ones near the church. The castle is now
mostly ruins, but it is very quiet and tranquil walking
around the perimeter and the views take in an all-round view
of the island. There are still the ruins of the Armoury,
prison cells and the well plus lots of stone walls. A
good place to go if it is hot as there are many shady places
under the trees. They also have at the far end a Cafe.
